All cloud providers have free-tiers available for minimum resources usage. But not all free tiers are created equal.

Ran into this when I tried out Azure. The first month was not a problem, because of the free trial.

The second month was when the issue cropped up. It's not technical, but financial :P

I had the same instance specifications setup in GCP. Now, 26 days in, the cost is around RM 17.00. Not much, you might say, but it's like RM17.00 extra than the instance in GCP.

If you guys know what I might be doing wrong, do tell.

I had the same issue when I was on AWS, iirc. However, I don't quite remember the cost incurred. Probably will try out AWS free tier again some of these days.

So, note to self - always monitor the cost on new clouds.
