March has been eventful, to say the least. A lot happened in March that affect people all over the world. And one that affect me personally.

March 2020 is my last employment month with Media Prima Berhad / NSTP.

It has been an eventful 29 years; started when I was wet behind the ears until I'm too attached to let go. Media Prima Berhad / NSTP is where I started with networking, Linux (from a floppy!), python and Zope, web development, contributing to the OSS (zope) community, serving sites with millions of requests per day, to virtualization (VmWare & kvm/xen), to cloud (AWS and GCP), to ML, and many more adventures.

Not forgetting friends. It was hard going off. They're like family now. But it's not goodbyes, but see you later.

Marching along after March is a bit tough. Entering the job market at this age is a challenge. A lot of applications, but only a few callbacks.

Was it my skills? Age? Seniority?

Allah knows best. Allah is the best of planners. So here I am. Hopefully some positives in the next few weeks or months. Not Covid-19 positive though XD.

March was also when MCO/PKP started. Restrictive movement, #stayhome.

While in the lull, I started some online courses (Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, etc) just to equip myself with the latest tools. I may not have used the tools extensively but I feel I can do it once I got going.

I also joined CoronaTracker project to be in touch with the pandemic, and to learn from the pros in ML, DevOps, Research, and more.
