It's been two weeks since an idea was given life. Hard work by Dr Han, Hafeez, Wei Seng, Dr Fazilah, Docligot, and others resulted in CoronaTracker.

The initial days were hectic. Volunteers divided into different groups, cards started to stack up with things to do. Nobody pressured anybody to work. It was exhilarating. Faith to humankind restored.

There are still a lot to do, please come join us. We need doctors, dev who can read local languages (chinese, vietnamese, etc) to help scrape news and other information, researchers, data analysts, dev with d3js experience, anybody and everybody, in fact :)

Quickly coded, maybe not too pythonic, may be a mess. We needed the data (news, events) ASAP.

Additional features, code cleanup, soon. Maybe a PR from you guys ;)

There are a few scrapers that didn't make the cut; either data not required anymore, or some other smart dev coded a better scraper.
